This week, we had two big wins for Palestinian justice.

Firstly, leaked news told us the Department of Defence finally instructed Australian defence manufacturers to stop exporting weapons directly to Israel

This is a much-needed win after two years of genocide, and two years of relentless protest, community action, and solidarity.

But the fight isn’t over. This export ban, while desperately needed, doesn’t address Australia’s role in the global F-35 fighter jet supply chain, or our continued exports to third countries and companies that supply Israel with weapons to continue their genocide.

Our second exciting piece of news this week is that Vision Super announced it is divesting from all Israeli-domiciled stocks and bonds.

They’re now the second super fund to divest from Israeli companies, following HESTA’s divestment from Israeli banks last September.

These wins show that our collective pressure is working and the tide is turning. But there’s still much more we must do. Let’s keep the momentum going, and read on for upcoming events and actions for Palestine this week.
