Subj: Keep Alive the Message of Hope

Dear Roy,
During this season of Advent, when we wait in anticipation for the coming of Christ, we look to God to fill us with hope, with joy, with peace in believing.

In working over the past 30 years for a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Churches for Middle East Peace continues to wait in anticipation for a just, secure, and sustainable peace in the Holy Land, the land of Christ’s birth. But we don’t just wait. We work. With persistence and commitment.

Your contribution is the lifeblood of CMEP’s vital presence in Washington.  Your generous donation during this Advent season will keep alive CMEP’s message of hope, our work for a shared vision of peace in the land of Jesus’s birth.  Please help today!

Together we can change the conversation and make 2012 a year when peace is more than a pipe dream. In the coming year CMEP will:

  • Continue to grow our network of Partner churches and organizations around the country which are key to reaching new people and keeping the work for Israeli-Palestinian peace in the hearts and minds of advocates. This year our Partner community grew by 20 percent, next year we will aim to grow by an additional 30 percent!
  • Expand our efforts to promote in-district lobby meetings with congressional offices, including coordinating country-wide meetings during congressional recesses, and providing substantial resources to support these efforts.
  • Make sure that every Members of Congress and every congressional candidate knows that support for Israeli-Palestinian peace is an election issue.

But, we need your help to make this possible, to make 2012 a year of hope and peace.

Please support CMEP’s work today, and as we prepare for the coming of Christ, join us in recommitting to the work for peace for all God’s children.

From all of us here at CMEP, thank you for your inspiring advocacy and for making our work possible. We wish you peace and joy during this holiday season, and may the candle of hope burn brightly for you into the New Year.
