Foreign Minister Penny Wong says Australia is “horrified” by the catastrophe in Gaza and says additional humanitarian assistance will be announced in coming days, following the deaths of over 100 Palestinians in Gaza overnight.
“Australia is horrified by today’s catastrophe in Gaza and the ongoing humanitarian crisis that has led to it,” Senator Wong wrote in a statement.
“These events underscore why for months Australia has been calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.
